The pages are static files: the site loads no advertising scripts, no analytics scripts and no embedded players, and nothing from a third party is set while you read. The server itself sets two cookies of its own, and both are listed here.
The two cookies the server sets
mz_src records how a visit arrived: typed in directly, followed from a link, or sent by a search engine. It holds that one word and expires after 30 days.
mz_vid holds a random number generated for your browser the first time a page is served. It is not a name, an address or anything derived from you; it lets repeat requests from the same browser be counted as one reader. It expires after 365 days.
Both are set in the response itself, not by a script on the page, and both are marked HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax. Neither is shared with anyone or joined to a profile. To remove them, clear site data for this domain or block cookies for it in your browser; every page reads the same without them.
The notice at the foot of the window
The notice about this policy has a close button. Closing it writes one entry to your browser’s own local storage so that the notice does not return on the next page. That entry never leaves your browser; clearing site data removes it. With local storage blocked or scripts off the notice is simply not shown, and nothing else on the page depends on it.
Hosting
The infrastructure that delivers the site (hosting and content delivery) handles requests securely and protects the site from abuse. Ordinary access logs record the address requested, time, browser string and IP address, and are not used to build a profile.
Third-party links
Pages link to sources such as league sites and Wikimedia Commons. Those sites have their own cookie practices, and following a link takes you under their policies, not ours.
Images
Photographs are served from this site’s own address, not hot-linked from a photo host, so viewing an image does not send your request to a third party.
Controlling cookies
Every common browser lets you review, block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking technical cookies should not stop the pages from loading, since the site does not depend on them to show text and pictures.
